Willard Thurman De Golyer

Willard Thurman De Golyer of Castile, NY passed away on Sunday, June 14, 2020. He was born in Ithaca, NY in 1947 to the late Avery and Marydith (Van Cise) De Golyer.
He was a life-long dairy farmer, who entered the family business around age six. He graduated from Letchworth Central School, continuing onto Cornell University of Ag and Life Sciences, and then married Maureen Breen in 1969. They enjoyed 51 years together.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by their five children and 9 grandchildren: Meghan (Rick) Abe, Sol and Levi Hauser of Perry, NY, Molly De Golyer, Kate and Ethan Garrett of Frostproof, FL, Aimee De Golyer (Ben Horwath), Marcella, Louisa and Thea of Los Gatos, CA, Avery (Kristina Curtis) Marcus De Golyer of Avon, NY and Joseph of Castile, NY. Also survived by siblings: Mary Lee (Reggie) Page, Jean De Golyer and David (Deirdre) De Golyer and sister-in-law Mary De Golyer,
Along with his parents he was predeceased by his brother James.
The family will hold a private gathering to celebrate Willard’s life.
In lieu of flowers, the family invites friends to make donations to a local food pantry, to Catholic Charities of Buffalo, to the Cornell Nutrient Management SPEAR Program, 272 Morrison Hall, Ithaca, NY, attention Kelly Heath or to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network.
