Walter A. "Jr" Wolinski

Walter A. “JR” Wolinski, age 68 of Leicester, NY, passed away on Tuesday January 30, 2024 at his home surrounded by his loving family.

He was born on April 25, 1955 in Warsaw, NY a son to Cecelia A. (Korona) Wolinski of Ruskin, Florida and the late Walter F. Wolinski.

JR was a graduate of Perry Central High School class of 1973.

He was a skilled carpenter, working for the former Kittinger Furniture in Castile, R.L. Fox Construction and Cleveland Construction both in Pavilion prior to becoming a self- employed contractor.

JR enjoyed golfing, helping family and friends with their remodeling projects, going to any of his children’s and grandchildren’s sports and activities.

Along with his mother, JR is survived by his wife: Lisa (Sliker) Wolinski whom he married August 4, 1979, 3 daughters: Jessica Wolinski of Mission Viego, CA., Melissa (Robb) Yoder of Webster, Caryn (Michael) VanHook of Ontario, 1 son: Michael (Tina) Wolinski of Leicester, 2 sisters: Kathleen Brown of Ruskin, Fl., Christine (James) Rando of Silver Lake, 2 brothers: Michael (Julie) Wolinski of Melbourne Beach, FL., Leonard (Barbara) Wolinski of Warsaw, 7 grandchildren: Kyrann and Tegann Yoder, Colin and Dylan VanHook and Jaxson, Jonathan and Damon Wolinski along with many nieces, nephews and friends.

Along with his father he is preceded in death by his mother and father-in-law: Shelby and Lois Sliker, and brother-in-law: Dennis Brown.

Family and friends may call from 4-7pm on Monday February 5th at the Eaton-Watson Funeral Home 98 N. Main St. in Perry where services will follow at 7pm.

JR will be buried in Leicester Cemetery in Leicester, NY.
