Thomas Monteleone Jr., age 89, of Perry, NY passed away on Monday March 8, 2021 at the Elderwood at Hamburg Skilled Nursing Facility.
He was born on March 15,1931, in Warsaw, NY a son to the late Thomas and Gladys (Hetzel) Monteleone Sr.
Tom served with the US Army during the Korean Conflict.
He worked at Lapp Insulator in LeRoy for many years and retired from SUNY Geneseo in 1994.
Tom was a member of the Perry VFW where he was on the board of directors. Tom enjoyed racing at the Perry Speedway back in his younger years, spending time on his boat “Bentley” on Silver Lake and bowling, having bowled a 300 at the Geneseo Bowling Lanes.
He is survived by his wife: Annette L. (Kolodziej) Monteleone whom he married on December 16, 1971, 3 daughters: Pamela Clester of Florida, Deborah Hoover of Florida, Cherie (Joe) Terrano of Oneonta, NY, 1 son: Timothy Monteleone of Florida, sister: Dorothy Gell of Perry, brother: Walter Monteleone of Perry, 2 sister-in-laws: Norma Monteleone of Warsaw and Ardith Bookmiller of Attica, 2 grandchildren: Jessie and Joey Terrano along with many nieces and nephews.
Along with his parents he is preceded in death by siblings: Ann Mummery and John and Ronald Monteleone.
A private graveside service will be held at a later date.
Thomas will be laid to rest in St. Stanislaus Kostka Cemetery in Perry.
