Thomas H. Pendergast age 84 of Perry, NY passed away on Friday March 19, 2021 at Absolut Care of Houghton where he was residing.
He was born in Warsaw, NY on July 28, 1936, a son to the late Howard T. and Emma (Strayline) Pendergast.
A graduate of York Central High School and attended SUNY Brockport
He served with the Army National Guard from 1959-1963.
Tom was a union carpenter for the Rochester Local #276 retiring in 2001. Prior to the Carpenters Union Tom worked several years for the Village of Perry at the Water Treatment Center.
He was a member of the Perry VFW and other veteran clubs in the area,where he did a lot of volunteer work, He enjoyed golfing, bowling, hunting, fishing, was an avid Buffalo Bill fan and loved being around people.
He is survived by his wife: Beverly J. (Carney) Wilklow-Pendergast whom he married on June 22, 1963, a son : Brett (Debbie Blanc) Pendergast of Fairport,a granddaughter: Samantha Jane (Alex Wagman) Pendergast of Austin, TX, 2 step grandchildren: Adam (Stacy) Blanc and Morgan Blanc, 2 sisters: Delia Keefe of York, Barbara (Timothy) O’Brien of Little Rock, Ar., 3 sister-in-laws: Ann Jaroszewski of Perry, Betty Jean Fagan of Castile, Erma Jacobs of Perry, brother-in-law: Walter “Mark” (Patricia) Carney of Aiken, SC, along with several nieces and nephews.
Family and friends may call from 11am-1pm on Saturday, March 27th at the Eaton-Watson Funeral Home, LLC. 98 North Main Street in Perry where funeral services will follow at 1pm. New York State requires those in attendance to adhere to the social distancing guidelines and face coverings are mandatory. Thank you for your cooperation.
Tom will be laid to rest in Glenwood Cemetery in Perry, NY.
