Thelma I. Stevens

Thelma I. Stevens, age 88 of Leicester, NY passed away on December 22, 2019 at Eastside Nursing Home where she had been residing.
She was born in Orangeville, NY on November 3, 1931 a daughter to the late Albert and Grace (Wright) Gath
Thelma was the Salutatorian for the class of 1949 at Warsaw High School. She was a secretary all her life working several years for Houghton School in Geneseo.

She attended the Leicester Evangelical Presbyterian Church in Leicester where she helped out with their annual rummage sale. Thelma was a great homemaker making sure everything was just right around the home. She had a circle of friends that on a regular basis would have pot luck dinners and play UNO. She enjoyed gardening and spending time with her 2 grandchildren.

She is survived by a daughter: Debbie (Scott) Rissinger of Gainesville, 2 grandchildren: Wesley and Linsey Rissinger, along with many nieces and nephews.

Along with her parents she is preceded in death by her husband: Frank Stevens passed away in 1997, siblings: Lorraine Hardine, Evelyn Gibbs and Vernon Gath

Family and friends may call from 11-1pm on Thursday Dec. 26th at the Eaton-Watson Funeral Home, LLC. 98 North Main St. in Perry where services will follow at 1pm.
She will be laid to rest in Leicester Cemetery in Leicester.
