Shirley J. Dusen

Shirley J. Dusen, 93, of Attica, NY passed away on February 27, 2019. She was born in Batavia, NY to the late Clark and the late Mildred (Langdon) Goodliff. She is preceded in death by her daughter, Roberta McCullar, and sister, Eunice Ames.

Shirley grew up in Elba, NY, on her family's beloved farm. Shirley graduated from Elba Central School in 1944, and later attended RBI. In her youth she would spend summers working on the muck and still talked fondly of those times. Shirley and her family moved to Bennington, NY, in 1962, and spent many years as a member of the Darien Bible Church.

Shirley is survived by her husband of 70 years, Robert Dusen, and a sister, Dolores Coughlin. She is also survived by sons Wayne (Sharon), Mark (Lynn), both of Attica, and Troy (Cathy) of Daytona Beach, and a daughter Bonnie (Mike) Chimiak of Boston, NY, eleven grandchildren and several great grandchildren.

Calling hours will be held on Monday, March 4, 2019 from 1-3 P.M. at the Marley Funeral Home, LLC, 135 Main St., Attica, NY 14011. A Funeral Service will follow at 3 PM. at the funeral home. A spring burial will be at a later date in the Summit View Cemetery, Bennington, NY.
