Roseann "Rocky" Zintel, age 50 of Perry, died on Friday March 13, 2015 at the Teresa House in Geneseo.
She was born in Dansville, New York on January 31, 1965 a daughter of Ralph Watkins of Mt. Morris and Roseann Runfola Watkins of Leicester.
Rocky was a graduate of Keshequa Central School, Class of 1983 and a graduate Livingston County Certified Nursing Program at Murray Hill. She started her working career at the Keshequa Central School as a teacher assistant with the school psychology program and her nursing career she worked for DDSO at the Perry ICF and Cedar Court in Dansville, Livingston County Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Mt. Morris and The Jewish Home in Rochester.
She was a member at the Old Path Chapel in Perry, the Perry Fire Department, Perry Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary, Perry Sports Boosters and former member of the Mt. Morris Ambulance. former volunteer for Home Care and Hospice. She enjoyed playing cards, going to bingo, baking goodies, especially her homemade pies. “She was someone who was always doing for others before doing for herself.”
She is survived by her 2 sons: Matthew and Michael Zintel of Perry, her husband: Greg, parents: Ralph Watkins of Mt. Morris, Roseann Runfola Watkins of Leicester, 2 sisters: Linda (John) Bailey of LeRoy, Mary Lou (Chris) George of Dansville, 2 nephews and a niece: Adam Bailey, Jenna and Brett George, special friends who helped out in the end, Ginny Gay, Claudia Rossborough, Jean Wise, Sandy Wilson, Kelly Aaron, Angela and Todd Campbell, along with many Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and many friends.
Family and friends may call from 4-5pm on Tuesday March 17th at the Eaton-Watson Funeral Home, LLC. 98 North Main St. in Perry where services will follow at 5pm
She will be laid to rest in St. Patrick’s Cemetery in Mt. Morris, New York.
Memorials may be made to the family to set up a scholarship fund for her sons.
