Ronald L. Chasey

Ronald L. Chasey, age 92 of Perry, NY passed away on Sunday, September 29, 2024 at Suzanne’s Comfort Care Home in Perry surrounded by his family.

He was born on July 20,1932 in Nunda, NY a son to the late Charles Lloyd and Madge Loriene (Edmonds) Chasey.

Ron was a 1949 graduate of Nunda Central High School and received his associate’s degree at Cornell University.

He was in partnership at CMC Dairy Farm in Gainesville for many years and retired from DeLaval Dairy Service in Castile in 1997, and worked parttime at Eaton-Watson Funeral Home in Perry

Ron was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Perry. He had a great love of music, he played trumpet in the Perry Community and Full Swing Bands, he sang in the church choir and Perry Rotary chorus. He enjoyed gardening, woodworking and spending time with family and friends.

He is survived by his wife: Virginia M. (Mann) Chasey whom he married on November 7, 1953, 1 daughter: Michele “Mickey” (Stanley) Klein of Silver Springs, 2 sons: Mark (Cindy) Chasey of Marrieta, CA., Kevin (Shelly) Chasey of Elma, 9 grandchildren: Colleen Michele (Adam Marguart) Klein, Russell (Jackie) Klein, Heather (Derek) Heiby, Bethany (Christopher) Bzduch, Janah (Ryan) Rudaitis, Curtis (Jeannette Mazon) Chasey, Jeffrey (Lindsey) Chasey, Taylor (Luke) Brisbin and Benjamin (McKenna Ford) Chasey 14 Great grandchildren: Contess Parker, Reilly and Harley Jean Wolfanger, Charlotte “Charlie” and Lillian Bzduch, Eloise and Ruth Heiby, August Klein, Ryland Brisbin, Luke, Desmond and Rooney Rudaitis, Zoey Chasey and Abigail Garcia.

Along with his parents he is preceded in death by a sister: Norma Chasey Bryant.

A Celebration of Ron’s life will be held at a later date to be announced.
