History:
Robert was born in Warsaw, New York of September 23, 1932 a son of the late Robert G. (Margaret Hoffman) Nieman Sr. Mr. Nieman retired from Rochester Telephone Co. in 1994 after 40 years as a desk technician. He was a member of the Brick Presbyterian Church in Perry, American Legion Post # 271 in Geneseo, VFW Post # 5005, Free and Accepted Masons Constellation Lodge #404 in Perry and the Retired Communications Workers of America Local #1170 in Rochester. He was active in the American Legion poppy sales and the VFW Christmas tree sales in Geneseo.
Survived By:
He is survived by 3 sons: Robert J. (Linda) Nieman of Livonia, Richard (Marcy) Nieman of Perry and William (Donna) Nieman of Raeford, NC , 5 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren along with many nieces and nephews.
PRECEDED IN DEATH BY: along with his parents he is preceded in death by his wife Carol Granger Nieman who died in 2003, and a sister Thelma Jean Chatt.
Visitation:
Family and friends may call on Saturday May 11th from 1-2pm at the Eaton-Watson Funeral Home, LLC. 98 N. Main St. in Perry where a Memorial service for Robert and William will follow at 2pm at the funeral home.

Interment will take place in Glenwood Cemetery, Perry.

Memorials may be made to the VFW in Geneseo, American Legion in Geneseo, or to the American Cancer Society.
