Paul R. "Goofy" Rice

Paul R. "Goofy" Rice, age 66, of Silver Lake, died on Saturday March 21, 2015 at his home surrounded by his family.
Paul was born in Warsaw, NY on February 4, 1949 a son of the late Thomas Rice and Florence (Irwin) Rice of Perry.
Paul was a graduate of Perry High School. He retired from Consolidated Gas (Dominion Gas) in Silver Springs.
He served with the US Air Force.
He was a member of the Silver Lake Sportsman’s Club, Perry Vets Club, Perry VFW, lifetime member of the Bliss American Legion Post #1720, and was a former member of the Perry Fire Department. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, collecting American Indian memorabilia and was a sun enthusiast.
He is survived by a daughter: Amber (A.J.) Koronas of Perry, 2 sons: Timothy and Thomas Rice both of Perry, his mother: Florence Rice of Perry, a sister: Linda Shepard of Perry, 3 brothers: Jeff (Mary) Rice of Silver Lake, Steve (Polly) Rice of Leicester and Brian (Lee) Rice of Perry, 4 grandchildren: Taylor Rice, Logan, Tessa and Fiona Koronas along with several nieces and nephews.
Along with his father he is preceded in death by a brother: Tommy Rice, Sister and brother-in-law: Cindy and Mike Laraby and brother-in-law: Bob Shepard.
There will be no prior calling hours.
Graveside Services will be held on Wednesday March 25th at 1:00pm at Glenwood Cemetery in Perry.
He will be laid to rest in Glenwood Cemetery in Perry.
