Melvin G. Shields Jr.

Melvin G. Shields Jr., age 55, of Buffalo, NY passed away on Friday October 7, 2022 at the home of his sister Regina and Robin in Perry.

He was born on October 27, 1966 in Silver Creek, New York a son of the late Melvin G.

Shields and Roberta J. (Young) Shields-Panfil.

Melvin served with the US Navy.

He worked for the Laborers Union #210 in Buffalo. He also did landscaping, concrete work and vehicle repair for people.

Melvin enjoyed remote control cars, helicopters and boats, working in his gardens, loved spending time with his grandchildren and hanging out with friends.

He is survived by his wife: Esther (Mikolajek) Shields of Buffalo, son: William Shields of East Aurora, 2 sisters: Regina (Robin) Brown of Perry, Bonnie Caryl of Warsaw, 2 step-brothers: Daniel and David Panfil of Buffalo, 2 grandchildren: Casey and Wesley, best friend: Chad (Lisa) Pusloski of East Aurora, along with many nieces, nephews and friends.

Along with his parents he is preceded in death by brothers: Edward F. and William R. Shields.

Family and friends may call from 12-4pm on Sunday October 16th at the Eaton-Watson Funeral Home, LLC. 98 North Main St in Perry where funeral services will follow at 4:00pm. Following the service a luncheon will be held at the Lumberyard Restaurant in Perry.

Melvin will be laid to rest in the Forest Hill Cemetery in Attica.
