Mary J. Adams

Mary J. Adams, age 88, of Warsaw, passed away on Saturday December 28, 2024 at the Wyoming County Skilled Nursing Facility in Warsaw.
She was born in Buffalo, New York on May 1, 1936, a daughter to the late John F. and Etola (Bacheldor) Stumpf.
Mary was a graduate of University of Buffalo and received her Bachelor’s degree in education.
She was a Home Economics teacher prior to raising a family. She worked for the former Champion Products in Perry and retired from Walmart in Warsaw.
Mary enjoyed camping in her younger years, doing crossword puzzles, playing solitaire, doing various crafts, watching Hallmark movies or just spending time with her loving family.
She is survived by 2 daughters: Sharon (Romeo Branco) Carter of Bowling Green, KY., Patricia (Jeffrey) Alband of Warsaw, 3 sons: Robert (Jodine) Carter of Perry, Michael (Linda) Carter of Lockport, Thomas (Linda) Carter of Austin, TX., 10 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, along with many nieces, nephews and friends.
Along with her parents Mary is preceded in death by husbands: James E. Carter who passed away in 1988, Carl Adams who passed away in 2003, son: James F. Carter who passed away in 1981 and siblings: Donna Hopkins, Kathleen Pempsell and Ronald Stumpf.
Family and friends may call 6-9pm on Friday January 3rd at the Eaton-Watson Funeral Home 98 N. Main St. in Perry.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday January 4th at 11:00am at the funeral home.
Mary will be laid to rest in Grace Cemetery in Castile.
