Marvin James Vallance, age 83, of New Port Richey, FL., passed away on March 13, 2019 under hospice care in Florida.
He was born in Pike, New York on May 28, 1935 the son of the late Robert and Edna (Harrey) Vallance.
Marvin worked for the former Retsof Salt Mine, Kaustine and was a carpenter and painter while living in New York.
He moved his family to Florida in 1978 looking for better work. He continued as a carpenter, building houses and hospitals all over the South. He loved to work and did so until his death.
He is survived by sons: Dennis (Susan) Vallance of Inverness. FL., Chris (Julie) Vallance of Springfield, MO., daughters: Sherri Vallance of New Port Richey, FL., Terri (Andy) Weatherholt of LasVegas, NV, sister: Velma D’Angelo of Warsaw, brother: Erwin Vallance of Warsaw, 10 grandsons, a granddaughter, 24 great grandchildren along with many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his wife Beverly (Calkins) Vallance who passed away on December 16, 2017 and son: Kirk Vallance who passed away on September 12, 1996.
Family and friends may call from 10am-12pm on Saturday September 21st at the Eaton-Watson Funeral Home in Perry. Graveside services at East Koy Cemetery will follow the visitation.
He will be laid to rest in East Koy Cemetery in Pike.
