Marjorie George

Marjorie George, age 93, of Warsaw formerly of Greece, New York passed away on Thursday April 27, 2017 at the Eastside Nursing Home in Warsaw where she had been residing.
Marjorie was born on March 8, 1924 in Stockport, England a daughter of the late William and Mary (Gibson) Southam.
Marjorie was a homemaker and talented seamstress. A life member of the Transatlantic Brides and Parents Association. She enjoyed knitting, sewing, crocheting and doing needlework.
She is survived by 2 daughters: Deborah (Douglas) Roberts of Pagosa Springs, CO., Kathryn (Patrick) Wolcott Sr. of Silver Lake, daughter-in-law: Sarada George of Rochester, son-in-law: Thomas Helsher of Manlius, sister-in-law: Joan Southam of England, 14 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, along with many “Honorary” children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Along with her parents she is preceded in death by her husband of 71 years Proctor George who passed away on January 29, 2016, a daughter: Doreen Helsher, son: R. Craig George and siblings: Doreen Gosling, Brian and Leonard Southam.
Services will be held at the convenience of the family.
She will be laid to rest in White Haven Cemetery in Rochester.
