Lyle R. Wolcott, age 76, of Perry, NY passed away on Thursday October 20, 2022 at Buffalo General Hospital.
He was born on September 2, 1946 in, Warsaw, New York a son of the late Morgan and Betty (Kelly) Wolcott Sr.
Lyle enlisted in the US Army at the age of 17 and was a paratrooper in the 101st Airbourne First Air Mobile Cavalry from 1964-1967. He was a proud veteran who loved serving his country.
He worked for the Carpenters Union #85 in Rochester for 50 years.
Lyle was a member of the Perry Vets Club, Silver Lake Sportsmen’s Club and the Halley-Allen American Legion Post# 1341 in Sonyea. He was an avid NASCAR Fan and love flea markets especially the Springville Flea market. Lyle enjoyed fixing anything for anyone who asked.
He is survived by his wife: Annabella (Sanford) Wolcott whom he married on August 29, 2001, 5 daughters: Shannon (Andy) Sanderson of Mt. Morris, Lisa (Frank) Kupka of Depew, Lee (Brian) Rice of Perry, Georgette (Jamie) Fagan of Geneseo, Jennifer Krueger of Lancaster, 1 son: Jamie Wolcott of Greece, sister: Dawn Stone of CO., 4 brothers: Morgan “Skip” (Diane) Wolcott Jr., Wesley (Karen) Wolcott both of Perry, Patrick (Kathi) Wolcott of Silver Lake, Edward (Nancy) Wolcott of Leicester, 2 brothers-in-law: Howard (Margaret) Sanford of Perry, Thomas Sanford of Warsaw, 13 grandchildren: Payton and Charles Wolcott, Madison and Tyler Kupka, Parker and Lydia Boyd, Patrick and Libby Rice, James and Ava Fagan, Landen, Rowen and Hayden Krueger, his dog: Rue Fagan Wolcott, along with many nieces, nephews and friends.
Along with his parents he is preceded in death by a sister: Michele Cunningham, brother and sister-in-law: John (Betty Jean) Wolcott, brother-in-law: George Stone and grandson: Matthew Rice.
A Celebration of Lyle’s life will be held on Saturday, October 29th at 2P.M. at the Perry VFW 20 Washington Blvd. Perry, NY.
