Lois E. Sherman, age 86, of Perry passed away on Thursday February 2, 2017 at the Wyoming County Skilled Nursing in Warsaw where she had been residing.
Lois was born in Perry, New York on July 17, 1930 a daughter of the late Seward and Margurite (Austin) Hare.
Lois was a 1948 graduate of Perry Central High School. She worked for many years in the Perry High School cafeteria.
A member of the First Congregational Church in Perry Center and a former member of the Perry Chapter Order of Eastern Star where she was a past matron. She enjoyed her trips to Florida each year with her husband, loved family gatherings with her family and mostly she enjoyed being a “Wife, Mother, and Grandmother”.
She is survived by 3 daughters: Marlene (Ronald) McClurg, Darlene (Daniel) Chastek both of Perry, Rebecca (Richard) Walton of Geneseo, 2 sons: Gary (Laree) Sherman and Daniel (Susan) Sherman both of Perry, 12 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, along with many nieces and nephews.
Along with her parents she is preceded in death by her husband Kenneth S. Sherman who passed away in 2009.
Services will be held at the convenience of the family.
She will be laid to rest in Prospect Hill Cemetery in Perry Center.
