Leonard J. Loverde

Leonard J. LoVerde, 78 of Castile, passed away on Wednesday February 14, 2018 at his home.
Leonard was born in Perry, NY on January 27, 1940 a son to Eufania “Fanny” (DeFranco) Blair of Warsaw and the late Joseph LoVerde.
Leonard was a graduate of Perry Central School. He worked many years as a Union Carpenter and later owned and operated LoVerde Tree Service in Perry for over 30 years.
He was a member of the Old Orchard Beach Fish and Game Club. He enjoyed hunting, drag racing, cooking, raising his cows and just puttering around his home.
He is survived his companion of over 40 years: Judith Pierson, 2 children: Christina LoVerde of Bliss and Michael LoVerde of North Tonawanda, 3 step-children: Lisa (Todd) Thomson of Perry, Rebecca (Dean Preston) Pierson of Perry and Stephen (Andrea) Lamitina of Warsaw, 1 sister: Angela Moore of Largo, Fl., 3 grandchildren: Nicholas (Kali Webster) Thomson, Alicia (Tim) Chapman and Steven Lamitina, 4 great grandchildren: Addison Ottman, Lilionna Thomson, Emmett Chapman and Ella Thomson, along with many nieces, nephews and friends.
Friends are invited to call on Saturday, February 17, 2018 from 5-8 pm at Eaton-Watson Funeral Home, LLC. 98 North Main Street in Perry.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, February 18, 2018 at 2pm at the funeral home.
He will be laid to rest in St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Perry.
