Lawrence Norman Hopper, Sr., beloved father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away peacefully on January 20, 2025, at the age of 81. Born on October 13, 1943, Larry was known for his generous stories, dedication to farming and unwavering love for his family.
He is survived by his children Lisa (Darryl Nourse) Kowasz, Linda (Timothy) Bush, Lori (Shawn Knez) Lebar and Lawrence (Jennifer) Hopper Jr.; grandchildren Christen (Daniel) Feiler, Zachary (Courtney) Kowasz, Andrew (Lindsey) Bush, Stephanie (Joshua) Greenaker, David (Natalie) Spink, Dakota (Tori) Spink, Danah (Damien Brown) Spink, Katie and Erin Hopper, and Madeline and Lydia Gillard; great-grandchildren Jack (8) and Walter (5) Feiler, Josephine (3) and Amelia (2) Kowasz, Brantley (3) and Payton (1 month) Bush, Paisley (5) and Theodore (3) Greenaker, McKenzie (3) and Grace (1) Spink, Caroleena (2) and Jason (8 months) Spink; and his siblings Joseph (Betty) Hopper and Maryann (Frank) Radesi. He is preceded by his parents Norman and Anna Hopper.
Larry enjoyed many passions in life, including fishing in his cherished bass boat, particularly his memorable trips to Calabogie Canada with friends and family. He was an avid deer hunter and a proud member of his bowling league, famously achieving a perfect 300 game. Larry also loved baking, his Dodge Ram truck, and celebrating holidays surrounded by family and good food.
Larry Hopper leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and cherished memories that will continue to inspire all who knew him.
A Celebration of Larry’s life will be announced at a later date.
Larry will be laid to rest in St. Stanislaus Kostka Cemetery in Perry.
