Karen A. Gaus

Karen A. Gaus, age 78 of Perry, NY passed away on Saturday December 4, 2021 at the Wyoming County Community Hospital in Warsaw.
She was born on August 26, 1943 in Warsaw, NY, a daughter of the late Ernest “Pete” and Lois (Phelps) Adrian.
Karen was a graduate of Perry Central School. She started her work career at Mallory Timers in Warsaw where she worked for 4 ½ years, she was a secretary at the Perry High School in the guidance office for 29 years, Dr. Robert Hewson’s podiatry office for 10 years and 13 years at Walmart in Warsaw. She loved all the people she met throughout her working career especially the students that went through Perry High School. Karen was very proud that she was instrumental in starting the Support Staff Union at Perry Central School.
She is survived by her husband: Keith E. Gaus whom she married on August 10, 1963, son: Christopher (Dominique) Gaus of San Antonio, TX., Victoria (Timothy) Putney of Perry, grandchildren: Alexis Zander, Brody and Jenson Gaus of TX., Justin (Heather Mehok) Putney and Meghan Putney both of Perry, brother: Norman “Butch” (Iris) Adrian of SC., half brother: Gary Perkins of Hilton, loving Aunt: Norma Gould of Syracuse, along with many nieces, nephews, friends and her pets at home.
