John T. Scaccia

John T. Scaccia, 65, of Perry, passed away on Sunday April 6, 2025 at his home surrounded by his family after a courageous battle with cancer.

He was born in Warsaw, New York on September 18, 1959, a son to the late James and Helen M. (Jacobs) Scaccia.

John was a graduate of York Central School. He was the owner/operator at Jimmy’s Towing and Auto Body in Leicester.

He loved to camp at Rushford Lake and at the pond with family and friends, He enjoyed working, playing pool and enjoyed times spent with his wife, children, grandchildren, siblings and friends.

He is survived by his wife Tammy R. (Bowles) Scaccia whom he married in 1987, daughter: Johnna T. (Justin Johnston) Scaccia of Perry, Taylor J. (Kait Kowasz) Scaccia of Perry, 3 sisters: Betty Ancher of Rochester, Susan Hess of Mt. Morris, Jackie Scaccia of Leicester, 2 brothers: James (Rose) Scaccia of New Hampshire, Gerald (Clara) Scaccia of Leicester, 3 grandchildren: Jaxon, Jameson and Jasper Johnston, mother-in-law: Orah Andolora of Warsaw, step-mother-in-law: Mary Bowles of Perry, 2 sisters-in-law: Terry (Mark) Sweet of Portageville, Robin (Doug) Bull of Perry, 2 brothers-in-law: Jeff (Michelle) Bowles of Castile, Ray Wood of Warsaw, along with several nieces, nephews and friends.

Along with his parents John is preceded in death by a brother: Peter Scaccia, father-in-law: William Bowles and sister-in-law: Debbie Wood.

A Celebration of John’s Life will be announced at a later date.
