James P. Dacey

James P. Dacey, age 67, of Perry, NY passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 2, 2020 at his home in Perry surrounded by his loved ones after a battle with cancer.
He was born in Lackawanna, New York on April 8, 1953 a son to the late John J. Dacey and Geraldine (Mahoney) Draves.
Jim was a graduate of Perry Central School.
He was an advocate for many people in the area, helping them stand up for their rights.
Jim was an avid hunter. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, working on motors, carpentry work, operating large equipment and spending time with his children and grandchildren.
He is survived by his fiancée: Vika Reshetylo of Ukraine, 4 daughters: Teresa (Philip) Pilc of Castile, Patricia (Daniel) Allen of Castile, Corissa Dacey of Oregon and Crystal Dacey of Perry, 2 sons: John (Rachel) Dacey of Arizona, James Dacey II of Avon, 6 grandchildren: Joshua, John, Zachary, Dakota, Trenten and Gabriel, 3 Sisters: Ann (Carl) Myers of Hemlock, Mary Dacey and Colleen Clay both of Florida,2 brothers: Edward Dacey of Blossvale, Gerald (Carolyn) Dacey of Perry, along with many nieces and nephews.
Along with his parents he is preceded in death by siblings: Thomas and Dennis Dacey and Kathleen Ellis.
A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
