We are sad to announce that Gladys B. Pierson of Perry, New York has peacefully fallen asleep in death at home on Saturday July 10, 2021 at the age of 97 surrounded by her loved ones.
She was born on September 7, 1923 in Leicester, NY, a daughter to the late Herbert and Edith (McNeil) Brown.
She was predeceased in death by her husband of 48 years: Gordon J. Pierson who passed in 1989, her three sons: Jim who passed in 2003, Steve who passed in 2017 and Tom who passed in 2015.
She is survived by be daughter: Jeanine Pierson of Warsaw, 2 daughter-in-laws: Terry and Lucy Pierson both of Perry, 10 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren, her faithful dog of 15 years: Lily, along with several nieces, nephews and friends.
She was one of Jehovah’s Witnesses and attended the Rock Glen Kingdom Hall.
Gladys loved being outdoors, digging in the dirt, gardening, flowers, loved any type of animal especially chickens. She loved all the times spent with her children and grandchildren.
There will be no prior calling hours. A Memorial service via zoom will be on Saturday July 24th at 2:00pm from the Rock Glen Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses. Anyone who wishes to attend please call 585-786-3630 and leave your name and contact information. Someone will contact you with the zoom information.
Gladys will be laid to rest in Glenwood Cemetery in Perry.
