Covington - Gerald T. "Jerry" Bell, 66 of Covington, passed away on Friday, (August 2, 2024) at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester following a brief illness.

Jerry was born October 1, 1957 in Buffalo, a son of the late Willard and Juanita (Ball) Bell.

Jerry was a graduate of Perry High School. He was employed by McClurg's Auto Group as a parts manager prior to his retirement. He also had worked as a farmer and construction machinery operator. He was a member of the Perry Vet's Club and enjoyed hunting and being outdoors. Most of all, Jerry loved spending time with his family and his "little buddies," his grandchildren.

He is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Marcia (Miller) Bell of Covington; daughter, Mallory (Thomas) Lauffer of Caledonia; son, Jacob (Courtney) Bell of Leicester; grandchildren, Colton, Eli, Cameryn, Jameson, and Walton; siblings, David (Dianne) Bell of Beaver Dam, Wisconsin, and Diane (Michael) Dee of Colorado Springs, Colorado. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

In death, Jerry is reunited with his parents; step-mother, Carol (Houghton) Slocum Bell; and brother, Richard Bell.

Family and friends are invited to call on Thursday, (August 8, 2024) from 3 to 7:00 p.m. at Eaton-Watson Funeral Home, 98 North Main Street in Perry. A Celebration of Life will be held beginning at 1:00 p.m. on Friday at Bell Farms. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Perry Vet's Club, 64 Lake Street, Perry, New York 14530 or Perry Center Fire Department, PO Box 204, Perry, New York 14530.
