Evelyn W. Shaughnessy

Evelyn W. Shaughnessy, age 87, of Perry, passed away on Sunday December 29, 2024 at Thompson Hospital in Canandaigua.
She was born in Warsaw, New York on February 23, 1937, a daughter to the late Alvin and Emma (DeVinney) Wood Sr.
Evelyn was a graduate of Perry Central High School.
She worked for the former Champion Products in Perry until their closing. She then went to work for Five Star Bank and Unidex.
Evelyn was a member of the First Congregational Church in Perry Center. She enjoyed bowling, reading and crocheting.
She is survived by a daughter: Kellie (Tim) Pratt of Canandaigua, 3 grandchildren: Michael Ebner, Michelle Lipke and Erin (Joe Austin) Shaughnessy, 3 great grandchildren: Haley and Alyssa Lipke and McKenna Austin, sister-in-law: Lynn Wood of Perry, brother-in-law: James Richards of Silver Springs, along with many nieces, nephews and friends.
Along with her parents Evelyn is preceded in death by her husband: Gerald A. Shaughnessy who passed away in 1967, son: Michael who passed away in 2018, siblings: Laura Richards, Alvin Wood Jr. and Richard (Helene) Wood.
Family and friends may call from 3-5pm on Saturday January 4th at the Eaton-Watson Funeral Home 98 N. Main St. in Perry where funeral services will follow at 5pm.
Evelyn will be laid to rest in Glenwood Cemetery in Perry.
