Dorothy M. Exford, 83, of Union South Carolina, formerly of Silver Lake, died on Wednesday January 14, 2015 at the Skylyn Place in Spartanburg, South Carolina.
She was born in Perry Center on November 8, 1931 a daughter of the late George and Marion (Perkins) Jarvis.
Dorothy was a registered nurse, she worked for the US Public Health Service in Kotzebue, Alaska, J.N Adams Memorial Hospital in Perrysburg, NY, and the Wyoming County Community Hospital in Warsaw.
She was an avid quilter and oil painter. She was a member of the Fowlerville Methodist Church, Enchanted Quilters Guild of Alamagordo, New Mexico, and Wyoming County Quilters.
She is survived by husband: Harold whom she married in 1952, 4 sons: David of Clearwater, Fl., Michael (Robin) of Pavilion, Leslie (Lorri) of Union, SC, Harold (Barbara) of Auburn, In., a son-in-law: Gordon Diver of Basom, 2 sisters: Virginia Strathearn of Warsaw, Jo-Anne (William) Coffey of Fowlerville, 10 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, along with several nieces, nephews.
Along with her parents she is preceded in death by a daughter: Deborah Diver.
Family and friends may call from 6-7 pm on Friday January 23rd at the Eaton-Watson Funeral Home, LLC. 98 North Main St. in Perry, where services will follow at 7pm.
Leicester Cemetery, Leicester, New York.
Memorials may be made to the Fowlerville Church or to the American Diabetes Association.
