Donald L. Wyant

Donald L. Wyant, age 59, of Perry, passed away on Monday March 13, 2017 at the Teresa House in Geneseo.
He was born in Warsaw, New York on July 1, 1957 a son of the late Merton and Lois (Waite) Wyant.
Don was a 1975 graduate of Perry High School. He worked for former Kittinger Furniture Co. in Castile, Beardsley Construction in Perry and Doug Domes and Tim Eastman Tree services.
Don was a proud and loving father and grandfather. He enjoyed supporting and encouraging his children and grandchildren in any of their interests.
Don was a knowledgeable handyman and was always willing to give a helping hand to others. He especially had an eye for detail when doing any project.
He was an arborist who loved nature and enjoyed working around his pond.
Throughout his journey Don had a firm belief in God. His church, Perry Center First Congregational was very important to him. He was an active member, serving on many committees. Don’s patient, gentle soul will always be remembered.
He is survived by his wife: Karen (Smithgall) Wyant whom he married on July 28, 1979, daughter: Melissa (Edward) Wolcott of Perry, son: Philip (Jenna) Wyant of Perry, sister: Doreen (Wayne) Hibbard of Holley, 2 brothers: Douglas (Bobbie) Wyant of Perry, Duane (Kristie) Wyant of Castile, 6 grandchildren: Eddie, Devin and Grant Wolcott, Emma, Jameson and Reid Wyant along with many nieces and nephews.
Family and friends may call from 5-8pm on Thursday March 16th at the Eaton-Watson Funeral Home, LLC. 98 North Main St. in Perry.
Funeral services will be held on Friday March 17th at 11:00 am at the Perry Center First Congregational Church in Perry Center.
He will be laid to rest in Prospect Hill Cemetery, Perry Center.
