Donald K. Ackerman

Donald K. Ackerman, age 87, of Leicester, NY formerly of Perry Center passed away on Wednesday April 14, 2021 at Strong Memorial Hospital.
He was born in Warsaw, NY on October 25, 1933, a son to the late Kenneth and Marjory (Catlin) Ackerman.
Donald was the owner/operator of the former Ackerman’s Collison in Perry Center.
He was the current President of the Perry Fire Department Benevolent Association and former member of the Perry Fire Department. A member of the Perry VFW, Don enjoyed mowing lawns, playing cards, camping, going to yard sales, or just spending time with his family especially with grandchildren Brenna, Danica and Landon.
He is survived by his wife: Kathleen A. (Weber) Ackerman whom he married on October 2, 1971, 3 daughters: Donna Chappell of Canandaigua, Susan Ackerman of Warsaw, Amy (Nick) Pecoraro of Buffalo, 4 sons: Donald (Lori) Ackerman of Manchester, Charles (Thea) Ackerman of Wellsville, David (Donna) Ackerman of Canandaigua, Robert Ackerman of Rome, sister: Delores (Jon) Nichols of Warsaw, brother: Frank (Bonnie) Ackerman of Gainesville, 9 grandchildren, along with many great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.
Along with his parents he is preceded in death by a son:
Richard Ackerman, 2 grandsons: Mark Chappell and Benjamin Ackerman, siblings: Bette Hill, Arnold and Harold Ackerman.
Family and friends may call from 11am-1pm on Saturday April 17th at the Eaton-Watson Funeral Home, LLC. 98 North Main St. in Perry where services will immediately follow.
Don will be laid to rest in the Glenwood Cemetery in Perry.
