History:
Don was born in Buffalo, New York on January 9, 1944 a son of the late Francis and Doris Hitzel Nicklas. He served with the US Army during the Vietnam War. Don owned and operated the former Bells supermarket in LeRoy for many years, he also was a bus driver for Livingston-Wyoming ARC in Mt. Morris. He enjoyed boating, working around his home, and tending to his and his daughter’s vegetable garden. He loved to spend time with family, friends and especially with his granddaughters.
Survived By:
He is survived by his wife whom he married on September 26, 1970 Dawn Goodenow Nicklas, 1 daughter: Karen (Michael) Lee of Pavilion, 2 granddaughters: Tiffani and Samantha Bragg, 2 sisters: Carol (Joe) Moorhouse of Seminole, Fla., Janice Brown of West Seneca, a brother-in-law: Claudie Goodenow of Delevan, nieces and nephews: Joanne, Joey, Patty, Michael, Tom and Dan, along with many great nieces and nephews.
PRECEDED IN DEATH: along with his parents he is preceded in death by a brother and sister-in-law: Frances and Shirley Nicklas, brother-in-law: Ronald Brown and nephew Christopher Moorhouse.
