Diana Lemley Kneeppel, 78 of Perry passed away on Tuesday May 7, 2019 at the Wyoming County skilled Nursing Facility in Warsaw where she had been residing.
Diana was born in Warsaw, New York on June 10, 1940 a daughter to the late Frank Clyde and Evelyn Marie (Ellis) Lemley.
She was a 1958 graduate of Perry Central School and Morrisville College.
Diane was a member of St. Isidore’s Catholic Parish (St. Joseph’s Church in Perry), a member of the Red Hatter Society, a former girl scout and 4-H leader. She enjoyed baking, cooking, canning, sewing, toil painting, doing rushing on chairs, ceramic, going to auctions, collecting antiques, camping with her family and going to square dances. She was a cherished and loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
She is survived by 3 daughters: Judith Ann Kneeppel of Geneseo, Jodine Lynn (Robert) Carter of Perry, Jami Lee (Wallace Swezey) Kneeppel of Ocala, Fl., a son: Robert Gerald Kneeppel Jr. of Rochester, 2 sisters: Patricia Lynn (Jacob) Rewa of Perry, Leota Marie Lemley of Gates, 1 brother: Jerome David (Mary) Lemley of Wyoming, 2 grandchildren: Stephanie (Aman) Mehta and Daniel Carter, 2 great grandchildren: Maxton and Sunaina Mehta, along with many nieces, nephews and friends.
Along with her parents she is preceded in death by her husband Robert G. Kneeppel who passed away on February 20, 2014.
Family and friends may call from 2-4 and 7-9pm on Wednesday May 15th at the Eaton-Watson Funeral Home, LLC. 98 North Main St. in Perry.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday May 16th at 11:00 am at St. Isidore’s Catholic Parish (St. Joseph’s Church in Perry).
She will be laid to rest in St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Perry.
