Cynthia J. Preston-Cassady

Cynthia “Cyndi” J. Preston-Cassady, age 77, of Castile, passed away on Wednesday September 11, 2024 at the Wyoming County Skilled Nursing Facility surrounded by her loving family.

She was born in Rochester, New York on December 23, 1946, a daughter to the late H. Clifford and Jane (Hills) Jenison.

Cyndi was a 1964 graduate of Letchworth Central High School.

She was a former dairy farmer, former owner and operator of the Commodore Liquor store in Perry, Tax Consultant and former owner of H&R Block in Perry, Warsaw and Attica before moving out of state to work for H&R Block’s corporate office where she worked for an additional 12 more years before her retirement.

Cyndi enjoyed driving tractor in tractor pulls. She was a member of the Western New York Tractor Puller Association. She also enjoyed antiques, shopping, country line dancing, canning pickles, her beloved cats, and enjoyed spending time with family, friends and especially her grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband: Raymond E. Cassady Sr. of Castile whom she married on July 7, 1984, 3 daughters: Tami (Gregory) Willis of Wyoming, Terri Preston of Arkport, Tawny Preston-Carle of Castile, step-daughter: Kim Albright of Perry, step-son: Douglas (Roxanne) Cassady of Makin, Georgia, sister: Robyn Henning of Castile, grandchildren: Anthony (Amy McGinnis) Willis, Michael (Nicole Wagner) Willis, Haylee (Jeremy) Swain, several step-grandchildren 6 great grandchildren, several step great grandchildren, along with several nieces, nephews and friends.

Along with her parents Cyndi is preceded in death by a step-son: Raymond E. “Butch” Cassidy Jr.

Services will be held at the convenience of the family.
