Cheri C. Vanburen

Cheri C. VanBuren, age 54 of Perry, NY passed away on Tuesday April 27, 2021 at home surrounded by her loving family. She is joined in Heaven with faithful relatives who demonstrated God’s grace and compassion for others.
She was born on August 25, 1966 in Warsaw, NY, a daughter to Nunzio S. and Donna M. (Kelly) Cicero of Tenesee.
Cheri was a 1984 graduate of Perry Central School. She was a collection manager for several years at Pioneer Credit Recovery in Perry and Coast Professionals Inc. in Geneseo. Her life’s journey led her to volunteer work for Pregnancy Resource Center of the Valley as an expression of her love for children.
She was an active member of Old Paths Calvary Chapel in Perry where she was involved in the Ladies Bible Study group at the church. Cheri loved to tend to her gardens had a great flair for home interior decorating, loved children and especially loved time spent with family and friends.
She is survived by her husband: Ronald C. VanBuren whom she married on February 19, 2004, 2 children: Joshua Hunt and Krystin Hunt both of Perry, 2 step-children: Anthony (Brea) VanBuren of Scottsville, Jordan VanBuren of Perry, parents: Nunzio (Donna) Cicero of Sevierville, TN., father-in-law: Donald VanBuren of CarsonCity, NV., siblings: Samuel Cicero of Pompano Beach, Fl., Christine (David) Sanford of Ridgefield, WA., Stephen (Rachel) Cicero of Pidgeon Forge, TN., sister-in-law: Angela (Geoff) Tanner of Carson City, NV, 2 brother–in-laws: Carey VanBuren of Perry and Douglas (Shelly) VanBuren of Akron, along with many nieces, nephews and friends.
A Celebration of Cheri’s Life will be held on Saturday May 8th at 2pm at the Old Paths Calvary Chapel 181 South Main St. in Perry, followed by a time of fellowship at the East Hill Creamery 346 S. Main St. in Perry.
Cheri will be laid to rest in Glenwood Cemetery in Perry, New York.
