Carl D. Lowery, age 77, of Mt. Morris formerly of Perry passed away on Tuesday October 8, 2019 at Noyes Memorial Hospital in Dansville.
He was born in Warsaw, New York on August 11, 1942 a son to the late Henry and Sophie (Klussman) Lowery.
Carl was a lifelong resident of Perry who worked for the former Perry Knitting Mill and retired from Champion Products in Perry after more than 25 years of service.
He was an active member of the Perry Baptist Church in Perry where his church family was a large part of his life.
He enjoyed watching television, doing crafts and tending to his garden at the Livingston County Nursing facility where he was residing, he was considered an ”honorary foreman” to many as he enjoyed watching any type of construction work that took place in Perry or around the nursing facility and especially visits or phone calls with his family.
He is survived by a sister-in-law: Dorothy Lowery of Perry, brother-in-law: Tony Caito of Geneseo, and 12 nieces and nephews: Marguerite (John ) Chapman of Dansville, Michelle (Thomas) Lemen of Perkinsville, Michael (Beth) Caito of Dansville, Dawn (Ernie) Sylvester of Perry, Tina (Joseph) Myers of Perry, Terry (Steven) Mehlenbacher of Perry, Al (Angel) Lowery of Perry, Warren (Ruth) Draper of Rocheaster, Michael (Beth) Draper of Perry, Carolyn (Duane) Williams of NC. Betty (Curtis) Wheeler of NC. Peggy (Jody) Mitchell of Dansville, lifelong friend: Mark Saunders of Retsof, along with many great nieces and nephews and great great nieces and nephews.
Along with his parents he is preceded in death by sisters: Mary Caito, Helen Caito, Cora Draper, brothers: Albert and Henry Lowery and a nephew: Edward Draper.
Family and friends may call from 11am-1pm on Monday October 14th at the Eaton-Watson Funeral Home, LLC. 98 North Main St. in Perry, where services will follow at 1pm.
He will be laid to rest in Glenwood Cemetery in Perry.
