Betty Jean Whiting

Betty Jean Whiting, 80, of Perry, passed away peacefully on Friday July 27, 2018 at Wyoming County Skilled Nursing Facility in Warsaw. She was born April 24, 1938 in Warsaw, to the late Lester J. (Carolyn Butler) Adrian.

Betty Jean worked as a Public Health Nurse for Genesee County after graduating from Hartwick College in Oneonta. She worked at Perry Vet Clinic, Sedams and at the Sugar Creek in Leicester. A longtime member of the First Congregational Church in Perry Center, it’s Knitting Club, Memorial Committee and many other activities through the church. Betty Jean enjoyed reading, puzzle books, word search, vegetable and flower gardening.

She is survived by children Volkert (Jessica) Whiting of Perry; Cindy (Arthur) Robinson of Wilton; Eric (Lisa) Whiting of Hagerstown, MD; sisters Bonita Olin, Sharon (Merle) Webster both of Perry; 6 grandchildren Matthew (Lauran), Michael, Christopher Whiting; Amber, Kimberly, Timothy Robinson; 4 great-grandchildren Anthony, Jason, Blake, Kyle; along with several nieces and nephews.

Friends are invited to an 11:00 AM Celebration of Life on Thursday August 2, 2018 at First Congregational Church 7205 Perry Center Road, Perry, NY 14530. She will be laid to rest in Prospect Hill Cemetery, Perry.
