Bernardine C. Mehlenbacher

Bernardine C. Mehlenbacher, age 96, of Perry passed away on Thursday October 27, 2016 at the Wyoming County Skilled Nursing Facility in Warsaw where she had been residing.
Bernardine was born in Springwater, New York on April 20, 1920 a daughter of the late Sylvester and Florence (Vogt) Yohon.
Bernardine graduated from Wayland School. She worked for the former Archway Cookies, Robeson Cutlery, Birdseye Foods and retired from Champion Products in 1982.
She was a member of St. Isidore’s Catholic Parish (Joseph’s Church) in Perry. She enjoyed doing jigsaw puzzles, crocheting, bowling, gardening, and especially enjoyed spending time with her family.
She is survived by 3 daughters: Marlene McClurg, Janice (Roger) McClurg, Kathy (Chet) Salada all of Perry, 2 sons: Norbert Mehlenbacher of Crystal River, Fl., and Stephen (Terry) Mehlenbacher of Perry, a sister: Rita Hills of Wayland, 15 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren, 12 great great grandchildren, a dear friend Valerie McClurg of Perry, along with many nieces and nephews.
Along with her parents she is preceded in death by her husband Nelson Mehlenbacher who passed away in 1970, a daughter: Beatrice Zintel, daughter-in-law: Anna Mehlenbacher, 2 grandsons: Rick Mehlenbacher and Rodney DeMun.
Family and friends may call from 4-7 on Sunday October 30th at the Eaton-Watson Funeral Home, LLC. 98 North Main St. Perry, New York.
A Memorial Service will be held on Monday October 31, 2016 at 11:00am at the funeral home.
She will be laid to rest in St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Wayland, NY.
