Patricia Ann Cox

Patricia Ann Cox, age 84 of Perry, NY passed away on Friday June 4, 2021 at the Wyoming County Skilled Nursing Facility in Warsaw where she had been residing.
She was born on September 4, 1936 in Warsaw, NY, a daughter to the late Woodrow Congdon and Elsie Lucille (Nickerson) and George L. Slocum.
Patti worked at several jobs during her working career. She and her late husband owned and operated the Perry Mobile Home Park in Perry, Goldenrod Campground in Gainesville, she worked several years at Tru Valu Hardware, was a payroll and account clerk at Mt. Morris Central School District and worked at the Attica Prison Visitors Center.
She was an active member of the Silver Lake Mennonite Church in Perry for over 25 years. She was proud of her 41 years of sobriety where she was a great supporter to many at AA and Alanon, was active in the advisory council of the Crime Victims Board for 5 years often traveling to Albany. Patti enjoyed playing the piano and organ, knitting, crocheting, sewing, quilting, making dolls and doll clothes, writing, including poetry. She enjoyed the visits from her great grandchildren Emma, Evan and Ian Gifford, Lily, Gracie, Macy, Mason, Trey and Kenley Smith.
She is survived by a daughter: Melody Jeanne Beardsley of Webster, son: Sean William (Elizabeth) Cox of Gainesville, 10 grandchildren: Kailee (Brad) Hibbard, Coby Cox, Laura (Toby) Gifford, Andrea (David) Fisher, Michelle Smith, Benjamin (Amy) Beardsley, Joshua (Sarah) Beardsley, Bonnie (Christopher) Wagner, Joanna (Lindsay Foster) Beardsley and Rebecca (Christopher) Sears, 23 great grandchildren along with many nieces, nephews and friends.
Along with her parents and step father she is preceded in death by her husband: Clyde W. Cox who passed away on April 5, 2018, a daughter Heidi S. Cox who passed away on April 3, 2020, son-in-law: Paul Beardsley, siblings Goldie S. Redman who passed away on August 23, 2020, Roland E. and Woodrow W. Slocum.
Family and friends may call from 1-3 and 6-8pm on Saturday June 12th at the Silver Lake Mennonite Church 6276 Burke Hill Rd. in Perry where funeral services will be held on Sunday June 13th at 3:00pm (refreshments and fellowship will follow the services) .
Patricia will be laid to rest in Silver Lake Mennonite Church Cemetery in Perry, New York.
